DESCRIPTION OF THE WORKS The Township of Stirling-Rawdon is situated between Trenton and Belleville, approximately 15km north of Highway 401.
The following is a general but not necessarily all-inclusive description of the works to be constructed under the Contract:
1. Replacement of aged infrastructure including pumps, motors, piping, HVAC, electrical, standby generation equipment, yard piping and other miscellaneous improvements. 2. Work for this project includes: a. Demolition of various existing works while maintain station operation b. Miscellaneous modifications and upgrades to existing equipment and, in general, replacement of most aged piping associated with the existing pumping station c. Electrical and modifications to the existing facility to suit the new equipment. d. Three new sewage pumps. e. Various new and upgraded building heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. f. An upgrade to the instrumentation and controls g. Replace of the Alum injection system h. Civil siteworks including relocation of various underground services, installation of new, sanitary sewers, forcemains and other piping. i. Site grading and restoration, all necessary earthworks, and landscaping. j. Replacement of aging forcemain air release/ vaccum breaking valves on the existing that transfer sewage to the Town’s Lagoon wastewater treatment system k. All construction management, oversight, quality control, start-up and commissioning. |
